Summary:The article is devoted to the analysis of the development of a family placement practice both in the world and specifically in Russia, the emergence of various forms of orphan’s family placement, the assignment of various systems included in the process of caring for a child left without parent’s care. Emphasizes the need for specialists of various profiles, who help adoptive/foster families and children without parental care, in the supervision of their professional activities in terms of a systematic family approach. It describes the main difficult issues imposed on supervision as problematic for the psychotherapeutic process with adoptive/foster families, considered the interventions of the supervisor and alternative descriptions of the stated topics. Discussed opportunities for supervision for inter professional teams working in the field of family placement, as well as for professional foster parents.
