Summary: | The author of the article follows the formation of the poetical-musical tradition linked to the image of the Virgin which
refl ects the most signifi cant events in the life of the Blessed Virgin, and in particular the Gospel episode connected to the Annunciation.
It is exactly this subject that becomes the semantic reference of the earliest hymns dedicated to Virgin Mary – the Magnificat which fi nds a fructuous accomplishment in the creation of composers from diff erent periods and stylistic guidelines.
The author examines the Magnifi cat by V. Ciolac that revives the Catholic music genre by placing it within the new sacral area. |
