Description
Summary:The Mapuche struggle for land has never ceased throughout the 20th century. This was still the case in the nineties. In order to better understand this struggle, it seemed relevant to us to highlight the historical approach of the indigenous community exposed by Alejandro Lipschutz in his book, « La comunidad indígena en América y en Chile ». Despite agressions suffered, this community survived for four centuries, says Lipschutz, becoming bastion of resistance and defense of the land. His approach is global : economic, social, cultural, political. And il fits into an American dimension. This internationally renowned scientist was a firm defender of the indigenous community. His fundamentals remain, in our opinion, relevant.
