After having analysed the positions - and contradictory propositions - of Strawson and Quine, about the four dimensions of the objects or particulars in space and time, I introduce what, on the one hand, the French Historians call le temps long (long time), and, on the other one, Elias calls "the fifth dimension", which is conferred by collective memory or results from experiences as they are lived by cultural communities. |
