description Introduction Polyphenols and physical activity are known as two effective factors on testosterone, Insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1) and cortisol hormones level. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of combined training and green coffee consumption on the serum level of testosterone, IGF-1 and cortisol hormone in overweight and obese women. Materials and Methods 30 volunteer overweight and obese women were randomly divided into three combine training, green coffee and combine training- green coffee groups. Training was conducted four times per week for six weeks. The amount of green coffee consumption was 250 mg per day for 6-weeks. The serum levels of testosterone, IGF-1 and cortisol were measured 24 h before and 48 h after the interventions. Results The results showed no significant improvement in testosterone and cortisol serum levels in all three combine training, green coffee and the combined training-green coffee groups (p> 0.05). The IGF-1 concentrations significantly increased in the combined training group (p=0.01) and significantly decreased in the green coffee group (p=0.03) but did not change significantly in the combine training- green coffee group (p> 0.05). Conclusion In consolation, results showed that combine training could be effective in improving IGF-1. However, green coffee and the combined training have not been effective for improving testosterone and cortisol levels.  More studies are needed to confirm the findings of this study.
