description | This article is the place for sharing our experience of the dialogue that developped between archaeologists with contemporary art. This dialogue inscribed itself into a specific disciplinary context: archaeologists are now fully aware that the practice of archaeology is to communicate with their contemporaneans, not with the people of the past to whom belong the objects they excavated. How and for which reasons, from the end of the 1990's, archaeologists developped an interest into contemporary art, questionning their methodology as well as the reason of their discipline? Their experiments opened new interrogtions in the profession through the use of analogy, excavation of contemporary sites, or the investment of the social field by archaeology. Which openings these creatives approaches allow in the archaeological discipline? |
