Description
Summary:Acquired immune deficiency disease (AIDS), as an immunodeficiency disease, is commonly involving in the nervous system damage after human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. Gastrointestinal disorders are the main manifestations og the peripheral nervous system. The nervous system injury of HIV infection in opioid drug abusers is firmly associated with opioid receptors and dopamine receptors and their interaction with opioid HIV‐Tat protein. This article has integrated the recent research about the brain nerve system and enteric nervous system in HIV patients, which may provide some reference for the prevention and cure of AIDS.
