This case report describes a case of resistant IDA that responded to probiotic (Lactobacillus reuteri DSMZ17648) and oral haeme iron polypeptide supplementation, highlighting that oral probiotic supplement trial may be considered before antibiotic therapy for H. pylori treatment in a patient with IDA. |
