description The challenges that we currently face as a result of the discourse of human rights are both multiple and complex: from the improvement of the systems of protection and guarantee of these rights at the legislative level to the relevance of the judiciary as a promoter. However, the challenges do not end with the above, but they urgently require a critical review of individual liberties in close interaction with social, sexual, and environmental rights. As a result, this article puts forward a critical analysis to the current nation State and introduces the theorization of a new State model, in which subjectivity and citizenship are strongly recognized and protected. Likewise, we understand that fostering adult citizenship requires forming, above all, a citizenry responsable for the consequences of their actions and decisions, without dismissal of the political responsibility for (in)justice held both individually and collectively.
