Development visions for the region pick up key elements of the regional plan, which they then build upon from a development perspective. Circumstances permitting, the agencies of regional planning draw up these models and are involved in their implementation. In the mid nineties, following a particularly dynamic period of development, the Heilbronn-Franken Region underwent quite fundamental structural change. The region looked to interregional discussion for guidance and developed its “Visions for the Heilbronn-Franken Region”. The requisite target orientations are brought together in the leitmotif “Innovation and Networking: the Heilbronn-Franken Region and its Future Viability”.
