description | In the last decade, migration processes in Russia were due to political and socio-economic variables that emerged after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The peculiarity of these processes on the post-Soviet space is the intensification of ethnic migration, which inevitably entails ethno-cultural, socio-economic and structural changes in receiving and supplying areas. Obtaining a pronounced ethno-social and ethno-political nature in recent years, migration alters the lives of local societies, influences state policies, and most importantly, changes the personal characteristics of those who are forced to move to other areas in search of a calm life and better future. The article presents the results of content analysis of publications conducted within the framework of the "Migration dialog in Bashkortostan" project. Analysis of publications in federal and republican newspapers for 2013 and the first half of 2014 took place. The findings of the study indicate the need to sharpen the attention of the media on issues of labor migration, taking into account not only the negative aspects, but also the current problems of migrants, and especially, their interaction with the locals. |
