description Safeguard of cultural heritage is the natural following of the visual and ontological identification of territorial emergences. Italy is an extremely rich and articulated territory in which local communities had a basic role in the direct knowledge, identification, documentation and preservation practices of its punctual and diffuse values. Since Internet got institutions nearer to people, a new model of intervention has been affirming. It is based on the idea of knowledge as an open and inclusive system: such a system should be able to be easily updated and consulted as well as to recall everyone to take an active part in the documentation and valorisation of the res publica.
