Summary:The article presents the results of a survey of 102 patients with injuries and diseases  of the  hip sustava.Dana assessment of the  quality of life on the  SF-36 questionnaire before and 12 months after the application of joint replacement. The results: the highest percentage of patients (76.4%) of the age group of 55 to 65 years. There was a high proportion of chronic somatic  diseases  (4.3 per patient). In assessing the quality of life in patients undergoing hip replacement surgery,  a statistically significant increase  in the quality of life in all respects as the physical and mental  component.
