Description
Summary:Social policy has become a vital part of the development of nations, as it stands as a cornerstone for the promotion and implementation of comprehensive poverty reduction programs, thus limiting and even erasing social and financial uncertainty so that a minimum level of „welfare” could be achieved. Under these circumstances, it is clear that „social policy” and „welfare” are positively correlated, with "welfare" being one of the fundamentals of social policy. When the economic dimension of „welfare” is taken into consideration, namely the need for non-discriminatory access of the population to financial resources, the state’s role in the field of social protection becomes that of the „social welfare state”.
