Кроме того, показано постепенное формирование качественной базы подготовки ученых и врачей по вопросам социальной медицины и организации здравоохранения, которые работают во многих регионах Украины и за ее пределами. Указаны учебные предметы, направления деятельности кафедры: учебная, учебно-методическая и научная работа, повышение квалификации, организаторов здравоохранения, консультирование по медико-социальным вопросам.

Revenko Zhanetta, Cheban Vasyl, Yasynska Elvira. History of Department of Social Medicine and Healthcare of the Bukovinian State Medical University. Abstract. The article highlights the stages of development and characteristics of the activities of the department of social medicine and healthcare of the Bucovinian state medical university, controversial issues regarding the final determination of time of department’s foundation are eliminated. The basic problems and tasks of social medicine and of health care organization from the very beginning of medical school have been discovered. It includes the material about the beginning of the discipline’s teaching. The activities of the department’s heads as well as their contribution to the educational and research work on social hygiene are traced sequence on changing name of the department at the time of its existence is shown. In addition, we showed the gradual formation of scientists and physicians qualitative base for social medicine and health care organizations that work in many regions of Ukraine and abroad. Educational courses, activities of the department, which are educational methodical and scientific work training of scientific and teaching personnel, advanced training of scientific, consulting on medical-social and statistical issues are mentioned in article. The Department of social medicine and health care organization of Bucovinian state medical University has passed a difficult historical way of development. Today the activities of the Department are educational, methodical and scientific work, professional development managers of health care. The Department continues the best traditions of the past and at a high level prepares medical personnel that successfully embody in practice the acquired knowledge on social medicine and health care organization. Over the years, the Department of social medicine and health care organization has made a significant contribution to the Treasury of Ukrainian medical science, therefore, becomes a necessity to highlight the historical stages of development and characteristic features of its operations for all years of existence.
