Summary:This article aims at analysing how matrimonial practices are evolving in Kabylia since the 2000s. It is a question of assessing the extent to which the marriage institution still obeys to the tradition logics and how it is reshaped yardstick of social changes related to globalization. The analysis will put into perspective the nature of the transformations affecting the system of Kabyle matrimonial alliance. It also correlates this with how changes related to matrimonial fact induce important changes in the kinship system.
