Summary:THE INFLUENCE OF COOPERATION NETWORKS IN THEDEVELOPMENT OF MICRO AND SMALL ENTERPRISESAbstractThe competitive fierce and the need for better positioning in the market have led micro and smallenterprises to formatting intercompany cooperation networking, aiming to keep up in the competi-tive market, by sharing resources and knowledge. Thus, this article aims to show real influences ofcooperation networks in the development of micro and small enterprises in the city of Maceió in Brazil.In an ex-post-facto study, within of exploratory format, were interviewed CEOs (Chief ExecutiveOfficers) of four major networks in the region, in which, through the software Alceste were conductedcontent analysis computerized with the support of statistical techniquesχ2(association coefficient)and correspondence factor analysis. Results show that the networks have generated income throughencouraging the creation of jobs, and improved qualification productive enterprises through the pro-motion of courses and training, which have strengthened the small markets, playing a key role in localeconomic development. Nevertheless, the formation of networks in the region has been contingent onthe situation, since the competitive market consolidation is not achieved only by individual initiatives.That is, entrepreneurs tend to partnerships, but immature, without the concern for strategic elements,having networks as a refuge for organizational survival or for financial support, subsidies or financing.
