| description | The Purpose of the present research is to study the internet information seeking behavior of the postgraduate students of Shahid Beheshti University. The findings indicate that there was no significant difference in the amount of using the internet between MA and PhD students. Both used the internet less than 5 hours a week. But there was a significant difference in using various kinds of information in the internet. The highest rate belonged to articles and the students’ research projects. They search engines to start searching the web. These students mostly used guide search engines and index search engines. The students’ most important problem was that they did not have an account in the internet. A number of students (44.4%) evaluated the quality of the internet services of the university as average. Most of them were unsatisfied because the university was not connected to suitable subjective information data bases. Most of the students suggested that in order to improve this situation, they must have more connected PCs to the internet in University. |
