| Summary: | The article presents the results of a study carried out within the framework of the research project “Architectural Image of the Motherland: Budapest, St. Petersburg, Harbin. European and national (local) aspects in Russian and Hungarian architecture - a comparative study of the turn of the 19th - beginning of the 20th centuries.” Based on a review of research literature and field surveys conducted by the author in the summer of 2023, a systematic picture of the Art Nouveau architecture in Harbin was compiled. The main stages in the evolution of the style as identified in the study are reflected in the cityscape of distinctly bounded districts. |
