Summary: | The article is devoted to the current amendments to the Russian legislation on targeted
training aimed at meeting the employers’ needs in specialists with secondary
vocational or higher education. It raises the issue of the legal nature of a contract on
targeted training, which is compared with an apprenticeship contract. It is proved that
