| Summary: | L’article propose, à partir d’une perspective historique, une brève cartographie des trois principales voies d’étude sociologique de l’individu en s’efforçant chaque fois de présenter leur noyau problématique. D’abord, la socialisation et le processus de formation de l’individu et son rôle dans la reproduction de la vie sociale. Ensuite, la subjectivation, qui étudie l’individu au travers de la dynamique entre l’expansion des contrôles et la visée d’émancipation. Enfin, l’individuation, une démarche qui interroge les différents types d’individu structurellement fabriqués dans les diverses sociétés. <br> The article proposes, starting from a historical prospect, a short cartography of the three principal ways of sociological study of the individual by endeavouring each time to present their problematic core. Initially, the socialization and the process of formation of the individual and his role in the reproduction of the social life. Then, the subjectivation, which studies the individual through dynamics between the expansion of controls and the aiming of emancipation. Lastly, the individuation, a step which questions the various types of individual structurally manufactured in the various societies.
