| Summary: | The content of this article was generated from an ongoing study, funded by the Foundation for Research Support of São Paulo (FAPESP), developed at the music postgraduate program at University of Campinas - UNICAMP. The research proposes a reflection on the creative and cognitive aspects inside collective learning of music bands environments, as well as the search for theoretical and practical references and the use of a laboratory research with the aim of obtaining diagnoses that facilitate teaching and learning in these educational contexts. Thus, the epistemological principle of this article is the reflection and articulation of some activities of improvisation, as well as the analysis and examination of certain proposals focused entirely on creative and educational process. Thus, it is conjectured the possibility of instigating the creative act along with the instrumental learning, proposing and analyzing the elements that promote heuristic processes and musical development, considering the different social contexts and musical backgrounds of the students.
