Description
Summary:This paper presents Rama authentic field recordings of prayers, customs and rituals that characterize Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Saturday. The author interprets the recordings in a general-Catholic, ethnological, anthropological and biblical context. A significant number of mentioned oral prayers have certain anthological value, and many of them are covered with oblivion. Much of the tradition has been preserved to our days, and is characterized by: prayers, strict fasting, help the poor and sick. Rama spiritual heritage evidently testifies that the Croats from Rama are deep rooted in western European civilization. This spirituality is passed through the millennia by the Croatian language and it is a treasure trove of philological, ethnological, anthropological, theological, and other treasures.
