description The objective of this article is to analyze the microfinance sector in Moldova, in terms of financial stability indicators. Thus, it highlights the main trends of development of microfinance institution in the last five years, as being reflected by the improvement of all indicators. Therefore in the paper the authors aim to present the most important methods of analyzing and assessing financial stability. Thus, ensuring financial stability constitutes lately a priority concern for the National Bank of Moldova (NBM), which is at the forefront of the national financial systems as well as the National Commission of Financial Market (NCFM). Indeed, with the responsibility of ensuring price stability, the central bank contributes to financial stability. A stable financial environment facilitates the achievement of price stability.
