Summary:This paper presents modified Gurney formulas determining velocities of the explosive-driven metal plates which are parts of a flat asymmetric sandwich (AS). The modification takes into account a linear profile of the detonation products velocity in the Eulerian coordinates and a change of their density in terms of expansion time. Such variations of the parameters of the detonation products as the above are compatible with a conventional dynamic gas theory, and describes the dynamics of the detonation products behaviour during launching the plates from AS.
