Study on seismic response ability of vertical pendulum in Yunnan

Based on the vertical pendulum monitoring data from 10 observation sites such as Yunlong, Yunxian, Yongsheng and Tonghai et al., by using the method of seismic case analysis, the co-seismic responses and pre-seismic conditions of vertical pendulum monitoring data of 51 moderate-strong earthquakes oc...

description Based on the vertical pendulum monitoring data from 10 observation sites such as Yunlong, Yunxian, Yongsheng and Tonghai et al., by using the method of seismic case analysis, the co-seismic responses and pre-seismic conditions of vertical pendulum monitoring data of 51 moderate-strong earthquakes occurred in and around Yunnan Province in recent ten years were studied. The characteristics of seismic response capacity of vertical pendulum in Yunnan area were summarized, and the results can be used as a reference for the selection of earthquake precursor monitoring instruments and earthquake forecasting in the future.
