Summary: | The contribution moves from some works recently presented by the Research and Documentation on the Urban History Office of the city of Modena, which for several years held an in-depth activity and cultural information for citizens about the city and its architecture. The comparison of the paths followed in the different towns, with a particular focus on Modena, can identify some basic characteristics of regional planning and its non-linear relationship with the building production and architecture. We propose the results of this research and suggests possible further analysis, with a systematic and reconnaissance approach of the regional landscape.
