Summary:Specialized pro-resolving mediators (SPMs) can promote the regression of chronic inflammatory response in diabetic kidney disease (DKD), inhibit renal fibrosis and protect renal function by inhibiting renal intrinsic cell inflammatory response, antioxidant stress injury and regulate macrophage transformation. With the in-depth study of SPMs, it is expected to become a new target for the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases such as DKD.
