Summary:The purpose of this paper is to present methods of determining damping coefficient of vibration. The methods, such as: collocation method, two energetic methods and half-power bandwidth method, concern composite structures. Verification of methods was taken into account in this research. Real compound models and numerical models were created. Time histories of vibrations of these models were measured or calculated. Comparison of methods were made on a basis of obtained results.
