Summary: | How is one to investigate in high judicial circles in taking methodological precautions which amount to strategies bearing the mark of power relations between investigators and those investigated ? This questioning emerged on the occasion of research carried out on popular jurors confronted with crimes, and asked to judge them beside high ranking judges, among whom we find the assize court president. Professional judges do not spontaneously divulge information to investigators and if we may consider that that is a rather widespread posture in dominant social milieux, it assumes a specific character in judicial milieux, accustomed to exercising in the context of a professional secrecy strongly symbolized by deliberation secrecy. |
