Summary: | Wegener’s granulomatosis (WG) is characterized by granulomatous vasculitis of the upper and lower airways and kidneys. Otorhinolaryngologic manifestations of this autoimmune disease are common and might be the first presentation of WG. Although otologic involvement is encountered in approximately 40% of cases, it is rare as the first presentation of the disease. In this article, we report a case of WG presenting with bilateral chronic otitis media and facial paralysis. Since an early diagnosis is critical, WG should take part in differential diagnosis when unusual otological problems with treatment difficulties are encountered in young or middle-aged patients. |
