Description
Summary:Objective To investigate the curative effect of double purse-string suture repair method used for fractional resection of larger benign skin mass. Methods Twenty patients with large benign skin masses (20-50 mm in diameter) who were treated by fractional resection with double purse-string suture in the outpatient department were collected. Each patient received at least two treatments with an interval of about 3-6 months. The clinical effect and complications were observed after skin lesion resection. Results Twenty patients with large benign skin masses were treated with fractional resection and purse suture, and the incisions were healed in one stage without infection, splitting and other complications. In the early postoperative stage, the skin around the lesions would have radial folds, and 6 months later, the folds and ripples were smoothed and the scars were slight, and the patients were satisfied with the results. Conclusion The fractional resection with double purse-string suture will be shorten the time required for complete resection of skin lesions and shorten the length of scar than the traditional fractional resection. It also provides a good condition for the second operation, and has a good cosmetic effect, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
