description This study aims at a better understanding of the cohabitation of new forms of individual mobility with the usual modes of mobility. This growing phenomenon calls into question the sharing of public travel spaces. Six focus groups were held with users of electric and non-motorized scooters, electric and conventional bicycles, alongside motorists, motorcyclists and pedestrians. The results provide information on the elements involved in the choice of a travel mode, the different forms of difficulties experienced (with regard to the regulations, in the practice of travel and in interactions with others), and on measures envisaged by users to further promote the reduction of cars in the city. This study illustrates the extent to which travel transportation choices and driving behaviors at the interface of psychological, sociological and environmental factors impact our relationship to territory and space.
