Description
Summary:Landscape metrics have been widely used to perform analyses of landscape structure, function and change. Within the last years, these metrics have been recently used to analyse urban landscapes. This paper presents a review of the theoretical background for the use of these metrics in urban landscapes, focusing on some recent works. Furthermore, we present an application of landscape metrics to assess urban land use patterns in future scenario simulations for the metropolitan area of Granada.
