Summary:Burn is a trauma caused by excessive heat in the body tissue. 2.5 million people are affected by burns every year in the world. In recent years, accurate statistical data on burn epidemiology are obtained in Turkey. The care and treatment of burns include extremely difficult and complex procedures. This situation requires meticulous and multidisciplinary approached in the treatment of burns. The nurse must be able to manage the factors like pain and stress that affect the healing of the burns in a negative manner. The approach, evaluation and role of a nurse who has received a good training in his/her field are indispensable. In this study, the purpose is to emphasize the importance of pain management and nursing approaches in patients with burns
