| Summary: | The purpose of this paper is to examine the effectiveness of the system of protected areas approved by the Algerian legislator under Law No. 03-10 on the protection of the environment in the context of sustainable development. In order to activate this system more, the legislator has issued a special law, Law No. 11-02, In the context of sustainable development, by defining protected areas, indicating the legal and regulatory framework to which they are subject, as well as their classification and identification of their management and protection in context of sustainable development.
The protection of protected areas requires, first and foremost, classification, with significant implications for the sustainability of ecosystems. The study also discusses the management of protected areas, whether they study the bodies authorized to conduct them or study their guidelines and plans. |
