description | Given the deterioration of the ecological and climate crisis, nature’s conversion into biodiversity has enabled the advancement of the political-economic agendas of countries with high genetic diversity, enabling Brazil to gain a central position in the management of the planetary crisis. With the rise of neoliberalist logics, bioprospecting and genetic resources, practices were reshaped and expanded, increasing Brazilian interests in global regulatory frameworks. This article aims to understand this process until the adoption of the Nagoya Protocol in 2010. |
