Description
Summary:The article discusses the prerequisites for the formation of spatial integration of the border regions of Russia and Kazakhstan. In the context of global competition, cross-border cooperation is becoming an increasingly important condition for successful economic development and effective regional management. Spatial integration opens up opportunities for deepening regional specialization in the international division of labor, concentration of production and financial capital, the use of effective financial instruments, and the organization of optimal commodity and transport flows, which ultimately creates additional opportunities for sustainable development of both the regional and the national economy as a whole. The purpose of the article is to determine the current potential and the need for the development of spatial interaction, its role, as well as the justification of the nature, trends, factors and strategic tools for the formation of a single economic cross-border region of Russia and Kazakhstan.
