Fulminant hepatic failure in children
Fulminant hepatic failure is a clinical syndrome resulting from massive necrosis or severe func-tional impairment of hepatocytes. This paper reviews the etiology, pathogenesis and management of this condition. Orthotopic liver transplantation may achieve very high survival rates (50-70%).
