Description
Summary:This essay, after reviewing the history of repertories dedicated to actors and indicating their historiographic and methodological assumptions, focuses on explaining the inspiring principles and the carrying out of the AMAtI project. This project, after half a century from the publication of the Enciclopedia dello spettacolo, by availing itself of new informatics technology and of progresses made by studies in the disciplines on play acting, re-propose the study of biographies of actors active in modern and contemporary times.
