description Environmental protection remains a global challenge but since 2012, there has been a progressive reduction in the engagement of companies in favour of the environment (INSEE, 2017). This study evaluates the role of the financial capacity of the company in its engagement in practices aimed at nature protection. The methodology used is based on the use of regression tests on data from a panel of 351 European large registered companies over the 2007-2015 period. The results show a significant effect of the financial capacity of the company on its engagement in nature protection.
