| description | The most common metastatic sites in breast cancer include the liver, bone, the lungs, and the brain. Metastasis to the gastrointestinal system is rare and can occur years after breast cancer diagnosis. This case report features a woman who was diagnosed with infiltrating ductal carcinoma 10 years ago and was discovered to have stomach metastasis this year. Immunohistochemical staining was employed to distinguish the metastasis from primary gastric cancer. This case is presented to raise awareness of the risk of gastric metastasis from breast cancer after years of breast cancer therapy. |
