description We used the local Intermittency Measure Technique based on the wavelet transform to study plasma velocity fluctuations measured by CLUSTER II Ion Spectrometry experiment during August 24-28 geomagnetic storm. The results obtained showed a significant increase in the level of intermittent turbulence at the end of main phase. It can be related to a significant increase in the substorm activity, and stretching of the geomagnetic field lines observed during the main phase. This fact is important for understanding the nature of geomagnetic storms.
