internal consistency, convergent and discriminant validity of its factors. The ISS
was administered to 807 married or unmarried individuals from Monterrey, Mexico,
using a random route sampling. The three-factor model was not validated. Once
items 5, 11, 13 and 15 with problems of internal consistency were deleted, the single
factor showed convergent validity and internal consistency, and the fit of the onefactor model improved. Its fit was perfect when it was reduced to 10 indicators. It
is suggested to redefine the ISS as a 10-item one-dimensional scale assessing sexual
satisfaction. |
