Summary:The aim of this paper is to evaluate educational migration movements between provinces for 19952000 in Turkey. For this purpose, migration data defined as a change in the permanent residence of people who are five and above, between two censuses according to the Turkish Statistical Institute and number of university students of the same period are used. The number of universities and university students has increased since 1970’s. For example, while the number of university students (not including open education) was 332.000 in 1985, it was 1.5 billion in 2008. Therefore, importance of educational migration in total population migrated across of provinces has also increased. The proportion of educational migration has low in total in-migration of the Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. For example, the proportion of educational migration are respectively 8,8 %, 17 % and 10 %. On the other hand, in-migration of the provinces such as Erzurum, Niğde, Kütahya, Isparta, Trabzon, Afyonkarahisar, Burdur, Eskişehir, Konya and Bolu the educational migrations are extremely important
