Description
Summary:Phototherapy attracts increasing interest for broad bio-applications due to its noninvasive and highly selective nature. Owing to their good biocompatibility, unique optoelectronic properties and size/surface effects, carbon nanomaterials show great promise for phototherapy. Various carbon nanomaterials have been demonstrated as efficient phototherapy agents for a large variety of phototherapeutic applications, including cancer treatment, anti-bacteria, and Alzheimer’s disease. This review summarizes the recent progress of carbon nanomaterials for phototherapy. Current challenges and future perspectives are also discussed.
