description Red cell distribution width [RDW] represents a new prognostic marker which has been widely studied in malignant tumors including ovarian cancer patients. Therefore, it has been stipulated that RDW can be also used as a prognostic marker and a follow up tool for these patients. The aim of the current paper was to analyze the variations of this parameter on a study group of 31 patients diagnosed with advanced stage ovarian cancer and respectively 48 cases with benign ovarian lesions submitted to surgery between 2017-2020 in “Cantacuzino” Clinical Hospital.
