Summary:Content and techniques of its presentation are currently the two basic problems in the elementary school geometry. No serious solution to the problems may make the position of geometry in the curriculum weak which in turn leads to the students' poor mastery of geometry. Sufficient content of Geometry should now be included appropriately in the curriculum by considering the intellectual developmental stages of the students and relevant learning theories. In this case, Piaget's theories of cognitive development and Van Heile's geometry learning theories should be considered in solving the problems
