Summary:The United Nation's World Heritage System is one of the most extensive conservation systems in the world. The World Heritage Committee of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has noticed that there are less research on marine heritage compared to other types of world heritage. This review article has reviewed marine heritage study from three aspects: (1) the relationship between community and marine heritage; (2) marine heritage value; and (3) Value, Conservation and Management. This review has concluded that marine heritage study focus on case studies, and there are more studies on conservation and management than other aspects of marine heritage.
