description Comments with revision suggestions made by the teacher to the students in their texts play as important role in the process of text construction influencing revision and rewriting stages. One hundred and forty-two comments made by the teacher in the first version of 30 texts by students of the university's Language Course were analyzed. The analysis of these comments allowed the identification of four basic constituents for the production of clear and efficient comments: a) identification of the problem to be revised; b) location of the problem in the original version; c) identification of the context containing the problem; d) guiding lines to reformulate the identified problem, this paper discusses the results of the investigation and demonstrates the importance of revision comments made by the teacher and their influence on students' text rewrtiting.
